Renters' Disappointing Experiences
Joyce, a native New Yorker, recounted her disheartening experience with a Manhattan studio advertised as "big and airy, and there was a fireplace." Upon viewing, the apartment was considerably smaller, the kitchen different, and the fireplace non-existent. "My friend said we should've known it was AI because there was a plant on the gas stove in the picture," Joyce remarked, highlighting a common tell. This scenario illustrates a growing trend where brokers leverage AI tools to create overly flattering, often misleading, representations of properties.
