Logistics Worker, Not Direct Patient Contact
According to Samaritan's Purse, the patient is one of their dedicated employees, a disaster relief worker with 15 years of experience volunteering for such missions. The Christian organization clarified that this individual had no direct patient contact, working instead in logistics rather than medical roles. This detail is significant for understanding potential exposure routes.

This US citizen, the second infected with the virus to be flown to Germany for treatment, arrived at Frankfurt Airport on Monday night. Samaritan's Purse operates two Ebola treatment centers in Congo, assisting health authorities and training medical staff, having also aided in the fight against Ebola in 2014 and 2018.
