New homologation sketches from the UK have surfaced, offering a detailed look at the production version of the highly anticipated BMW F 450 GS. This iteration appears to lean more towards the design of the G 310 GS than the sporty, off-road concept initially unveiled at EICMA last year.

Key Design Departures Revealed

The leaked sketches highlight several significant changes from the prototype. Notably, the exhaust system is now positioned lower, a departure from the upward-routed design of the concept. Furthermore, the bike will feature alloy wheels instead of the spoked ones seen previously, reminiscent of the G 310 GS. The seat has also been redesigned into a split, two-tier unit, moving away from the single-piece, enduro-style saddle of the concept.

Manufacturing and Future Prospects

Manufactured at TVS's factory in India, the F 450 GS is poised to succeed the current G 310 GS. BMW CEO Markus Flesch has indicated that the 450 range will indeed replace the 310. Despite the production model's more conventional styling, speculation remains about a potential Trophy variant, mirroring the appeal of the original concept. The inclusion of standard mirrors and indicators, along with a larger windscreen, further solidifies its production-ready status. The chassis is now black, with the subframe concealed by side panels, and a different sump guard is fitted.
