The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed striking multiple targets in the Gaza Strip recently, citing operations to "eliminate threats to security forces." This action follows Palestinian media reports detailing an alleged infiltration and subsequent clash in western Gaza City.
Operations and Alleged Infiltration
An IDF spokesperson affirmed that no Israeli troops were injured during these operations. Meanwhile, Palestinian media indicated that a special unit, reportedly anti-Hamas and potentially IDF-backed, had infiltrated western Gaza City. Upon discovery by Hamas, a ground confrontation ensued, prompting an IDF drone strike that, it seems, caused at least one death. The situation remains tense.
