Trade Republic, the German neobank, significantly expanded its investment product portfolio in Spain, integrating several leading independent Spanish fund managers. This strategic move includes adding funds from Azvalor, Cobas, and Magallanes, alongside Groupama, to its existing offerings of ETFs, stocks, bonds, and investment funds. For the first time, Spanish investors can access these funds with an initial investment as low as one euro, effectively lowering traditional entry barriers, as confirmed by Trade Republic.

Enhanced Investment Accessibility

Beyond new fund additions, Trade Republic now allows clients to transfer their current investment fund positions from other entities to its platform without incurring custody fees. Pablo López, head of Trade Republic for Spain, Portugal, and Greece, emphasized, "By incorporating prominent Spanish asset managers and enabling external fund transfers, we significantly ease the process for clients to bring their investments to Trade Republic and access funds they already know and trust." The goal, he added, is to "eliminate friction when switching providers and offer Spanish investors more choices in a single location."

Strategic Growth and Market Focus

The neobank has also revamped its Bizum experience with a redesigned interface for faster, simpler daily payments. These launches propel Trade Republic beyond mere investment services towards a broader savings and banking proposition, aiming to meet all financial needs of its Spanish clientele. Julian Collin, General Manager International Markets, affirmed Spain remains their "main priority in 2026," noting over two million Spanish clients already trust the platform. He stated the company will continue substantial investment in the country, introducing more localized products to establish Trade Republic as the primary financial management hub for Spaniards. This strategic expansion underscores the neobank's aggressive push to dominate the Spanish retail banking sector, as it happens.
