Former Haas team principal Gunther Steiner has expressed significant doubt about Lewis Hamilton's ability to secure an eighth Formula 1 world title with Ferrari. Speaking in an interview with Bild, Steiner asserted that Mercedes' current strength makes a championship win for Hamilton highly improbable, a blunt assessment ahead of the crucial Belgian Grand Prix at Spa.

Steiner, known for his frankness on "F1: Drive to Survive," declared Hamilton "will not win his eighth title" due to Mercedes being "too strong." He acknowledged, however, that with "the right car," Hamilton can still compete at the pinnacle. For what it's worth, Steiner emphasized the importance of Hamilton finally winning with Ferrari this year, suggesting this achievement should suffice, a joy no one can diminish and a powerful motivator.
