Hasbro and Nintendo have forged a multiyear licensing partnership, setting the stage for a new line of products based on "The Legend of Zelda" franchise. While the full rollout begins in 2027, fans won't wait long to glimpse the initial offerings. Hasbro plans to unveil three distinct six-inch-scale figures at San Diego Comic-Con later this month. For what it's worth, this early reveal, coupled with the 2027 launch, suggests a strong connection to the anticipated live-action "The Legend of Zelda" movie.
Anticipated Movie and Gaming Ties
Speculation is rife that the toy line will align closely with the live-action film, a joint venture between Sony Pictures and Nintendo. Benjamin Evan Ainsworth is cast as Link, and Bo Bragason as Zelda, with Wes Ball directing. The movie, notably, was filmed in New Zealand at locations reminiscent of "The Lord of the Rings" saga. Nintendo also confirmed a gaming event at Comic-Con, once again collaborating with The Rizzler.

Executive Vision and Future Releases
Billy Lagor, a Hasbro executive, articulated the vision behind the collaboration, stating, "By combining Nintendo’s iconic storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in action and role-play, we’re delivering toys that invite fans to play, explore and forge their own epic adventures." Specific financial terms of this significant partnership remain undisclosed. Meanwhile, the gaming series continues its legacy with a new remake of "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" slated for release on the Switch 2 this year.
