Oscar-winning director Bong Joon Ho, acclaimed for "Parasite," has unveiled the first trailer and set a release date for his new film, "Mickey 17." Adapted from Edward Ashton's novel "Mickey 7," Bong also penned the screenplay, which may, as it happens, diverge from the book. The story centers on Mickey 7, an "expendable" crew member on a human expedition to colonize the ice world Niflheim, a concept that promises a unique sci-fi experience.
Cast and Theatrical Debut
Robert Pattinson leads the cast, joined by Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo. Produced by Plan B Entertainment, the score is by Jae-il Jung, who also worked on "Parasite." "Mickey 17" is slated for a theatrical release on March 29, 2024.
