Aardman Animations' iconic duo, Wallace and Gromit, are making their much-anticipated debut in Lego form this year. The company recently revealed a comprehensive 1,038-piece set, part of its popular Ideas line, depicting the beloved characters on their distinctive motorbike and sidecar. Fans need not wait until the official October 1 release date to acquire this unique collectible; preorders are currently live on Lego's official website, priced at $99.99.
A Detailed Brick-Built Adventure
This intricate set, recommended for adults aged 18 and up, meticulously recreates a scene directly from the classic film "A Close Shave." It includes various delightful accessories storable in the motorbike's seat hatch, such as crackers, a yarn ball for Gromit, and a diamond from "The Wrong Trousers." What truly stands out, to be fair, is the posability of both Wallace and Gromit figures, with Gromit even featuring goggles and dynamic ears. This attention to detail ensures a truly immersive building experience.

The Vision Behind the Design
Sébastien Esnault initially submitted this concept to the Lego Ideas “90s Throwback — The Next Chapter” challenge. Esnault explained his choice of scene, stating, "Beyond the characters themselves, this scene perfectly captures the spirit of Wallace & Gromit. It brings together everything that defines them: inventiveness, humor, friendship, and a sense of adventure." This set not only celebrates a cherished animated franchise but also highlights the enduring creativity of the Lego community. Securing a preorder now is a smart move for enthusiasts.
